HARTSDALE AND FAIRVIEW FIRE COMMISSIONER ELECTIONS ARE CONTESTED...
GREENVILLE ELECTION UNCONTESTED-- BUT--3 REQUESTS TO BORROW IN EDGEMONT TO RENOVATE FIRE HEADQUARTERS...BORROW FOR CERTIORARI'S...PURCHASE NEW FIRE TRUCK
The Greenville Fire district (Edgemont) will hold their election from 2 PM to 9 PM at the Greenville fire house on Central Ave. Walter Groden is seeking election unopposed.
There are ballot referendum questions voters will be asked to vote on:
The first ballot initiative: A request by the Fire Commissioners to borrow up to $285,000 to repair and renovate fire headquarters.
The second ballot question: asks for permission to borrow up to $550,000 to pay tax certiorari refunds.
The third ballot question: borrowing up to $950,000 to purchase a new ladder truck

The election will take place at Hartsdale Fire District, Station 1, located at 25 South Central Avenue, Hartsdale, NY
The polls will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Candidates for the 5 year term commencing on January 1, 2015 are:
Michael Goldstein
Andrew Lee
Candidate for the 1 year term commencing on January 1, 2015 is:
Anthony Frasca
As a note, Hartsdale Fire District decided to extend the duration of the election a number of years ago to increase voter turnout. The law requires the election to be from 6:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. You will have to check with the other districts. The fire districts provide the information regarding the elections to the Town, it’s posted on the Clerk’s Board as well as on the website.
