Crews are salting streets... Martin Luther King events in Hastings and Tarrytown tomorrow

Received this e mail from the Commissioner of Public Works.  Our crews have been out but it's advisable to stay home for a few more hours

 

 The Town Highway Department has crews salting the roads.  Roads are hazardous with black ice.  We are advised conditions will remain poor for another two hours before temperatures rise above freezing.

 
Tomorrow is Martin Luther King day.  Here's how you can best remember Dr. Martin Luther King.
 
The Volunteer Center has a listing of community service initiatives you could take advantage of --not only on Martin Luther King's birthday but all the time.
 
The African American Men of Westchester sponsors a lunch on Martin Luther King's birthday. The event will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown at 11 AM. Cost is $35 at the door. The African American Men honor outstanding students each year.
