NEW~ FREE BOOKS, COMPLIMENTS OF FRIENDS OF GREENBURGH LIBRARY--ON E HARTSDALE AVE

It's the little thing that make living in Greenburgh a terrific experience. Today, the Friends of the Greenburgh Library and Peachwave (228 E Hartsdale Ave, Hartsdale) initiated a new program --called the BOOKSHELF. The Friends of the Greenburgh Library are providing "the bookshelf) with FREE BOOKS. Different books will replace books that are taken from the book stand. No need to return the books after you finish reading them.

 

If you want an inexpensive book to own- and would like a larger selection of books - visit the Greenburgh Library. The Friends of the Library have a book store. These books are only $1- each.

 

Hat's off to the Greenburgh Library, the Friends of the Library and Peachwave for providing this excellent service to residents. This new free bookshelf program will be very helpful to our senior population who may not be able to get to the library.  No need for seniors to have to worry about returning the books on time because once they take the books out they own them--and the cost is great: FREE.

 

The bookshelf is open during regular business hours of Peachwave. Hours--Sunday-Thursday  Noon to 9 PM. Friday's and Saturdays: noon to 11 PM.
