Waterwheel affordable housing & Greenburgh school budget presentations this Thursday

The Housing Action Council of Westchester is holding an information session on the waterwheel condo at the White Plains library this Thursday, May 14th at 6:30 PM. This is property that the town foreclosed on. We worked with the Village of Ardsley to create affordable housing opportunities. The buildings are under construction.-- 22 two and three bedroom condominiums at 867 Saw Mill River Road.   The condos have open living areas for kitchen, living and dining areas.  The two bedrooms range in size from + 1182 sf. to +1275  sf.; 3 bedrooms, +1729 sq.ft.  Each condo has a separate HVAC forced air, gas fired system.   Retail shopping is nearby.  The Bee-Line Bus offers regular services between Yonkers, White Plains and Harrison and between the Bronx and the Westchester Community College in Valhalla.  A bus stop is within walking distance. There is on-site parking. 
 
                Applications are due by June 1, 2015.  Applications and brochures – in English and Spanish – can be downloaded from Housing Action Council’s website at www.housingactioncouncil.org.  
The Theodore Young Community Center will be sponsoring a budget presentation about the Greenburgh Central School district budget  on Thursday, May 14th at 7 PM. The Theodore Young Community Center is located on Manhattan ave.   Next Tuesday, May 19th is school budget election day from 7 AM to 9 PM so this is an opportunity to have your questions answered before the budget vote. The Greenburgh school budget is under the tax cap.  cap.

Residents of Greenburgh reside in different school districts. The NYS Legislature sets the boundaries of the school districts. Residents of our community attend Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, Irvington, Edgemont, Tarrytown, Elmsford, Pocantico and Valhalla Schools in addition to the Greenburgh schools.  I would be pleased to post other community meetings impacting school budgets taking place before the school budget votes.

Newsletters and email marketing are core components of today’s small business marketing campaigns.  Attendees will learn about the different types of newsletters, what to write about, how to use images, subject lines, and when to send your newsletter. 
The key focus of this workshop for small business owners will be to understand how the performance and outcome of email and social media are connected and how these tools should be used together in tandem.
