WELCOME. A new restaurant has opened in Hartsdale: Mimi's Bar & Grill in Hartsdale. The restaurant is a relatively small and intimate establishment located at 10 N. Central Avenue in Hartsdale. The goal: has always been to be the local neighborhood "watering hole" so to speak that serves great food at a reasonable price. They are striving to be a vital part of our community where everybody knows their name and vice versa. Having recently opened they are still working towards things like delivery and happy hour, both of which will be coming in the next couple of weeks. They currently offer take out and sit down. The fare is traditional bar food...burgers, chicken, steak, salads, sandwiches, etc., but it's always fresh and always delicious! They are so happy to have joined the Hartsdale community and are looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with our community. Please stop in and say hi anytime! Michele Bergeron

VIDEO OF DISCUSSION ON 3 year REASSESSMENT PHASE IN PROPOSAL TOWN BOARD AND ASSESSOR
Yesterday, the Greenburgh Town Board met with the Town Assessor to discuss a proposal that the Town Board will ask the NY State Legislature to approve that would mitigate the impacts of the reassessment on some people who will see significant tax hikes.
The legislation that the Town Board will be asking NYS to approve differs from Section 1904 . The Board held a public hearing on implementing section 1904 a few weeks ago. Section 1904 would have increased assessments over a five year period instead of immediately. An attorney for the New York State Office of Real Property services wrote to the Greenburgh Town Attorney indicating that the law was not practical –residents would have had to pay most of the tax hikes immediately. The town would have lost six figures in state financial assistance if we had implemented 1904, according to the state.
OUR NEW PROPOSAL
3 year phase in for ONLY INCREASES. Unlike section 1904 those entitled to tax reductions would receive them without filing grievances. Immediate tax reductions.
This phase in only impacts taxes –not assessments.
The town would continue to receive financial assistance from NYS for implementing the reassessment. Six figures
The proposal only applies to primary residences—1, 2 and 3 family homes. Condo’s and apartments are exempt from the phase in. Commercial properties are also exempt from the phase in.
Under section 1904 tax reductions would have also been phased in. Under the new proposal residents will be able to get tax reductions immediately.
Senior citizens, veterans will continue to receive exemptions.
Residents will have to apply for the phase in and allow for an inspection of their homes. Only those who qualify for STAR would receive the benefits of phase in
I have been in contact with state lawmakers. We are working with state lawmakers on drafting the legislation that would enable Greenburgh to approve this phase in.
