SATURDAY...ARREST 1.8 MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF MARIJUANA PLANTS AT 718 ARDSLEY ROAD

300 MARIJUANA PLANTS WORTH 1.8 MILLION DOLLARS FOUND AFTER REPORT OF BURNING ELECTRICAL WIRES INCIDENT ON ARDSLEY ROAD--2 ARRESTED
 
On November 2, 2016 at approximately 2:30 pm, Greenburgh Police patrol units responded to Ardsley Road for a report of burning electrical wires. Ardsley Fire Department also responded. Greenburgh Police were advised that two men were seen running from 718 Ardsley Road into the woods. Ardsley Police assisted in checking the area and located the two men. The house was checked due to concerns that a crime had occurred or people were still in the residence. Police then observed an extensive marihuana cultivation project.
Members of the Greenburgh Police Detective Division, Street Crime Unit and Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force subsequently executed a search warrant at
718 Ardsley Road. Recovered were approximately 300 marijuana plants with an approximate street value of 1.8 million dollars and equipment to grow marihuana indoors.
The men, both from The Bronx, were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana 1st Degree a C Felony
