Just spoke with Rich Fon, Deputy Commissioner of Public Works. Our crews started working around 4 AM clearing the roads. The snow is coming down fast, visibility for motorists not great. Difficult to see. The snow is heavy, roads are slippery. Best advice. Stay home. No power outages or falling trees so far. Our crews will be out working for you until all roads are in great shape. As mentioned yesterday - because the snow is coming down very fast - our plows could be on your street now --and in 10 minutes your street will be in bad shape again.
