Input wanted on mail service delivery problems before call with chief operating officer of US Postal
Release Date: August 27, 2017

This Tuesday afternoon I will be speaking by phone with David Williams, the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the U.S. Postal Service.

In recent years and months I have received lots of e mails and phone calls from residents who have complained about mail service.  Mail sent to wrong addresses; medication not arriving, no mail delivery on some days, not receiving bills or checks, etc.  I have forwarded every complaint to the regional administrator of the US Postal Service and they have investigated and followed up on every problem  forwarded to their attention. Many of the problems occur when the assigned mail carrier is off--the relief carriers are not as familiar with the routes.

TO HELP ME PREPARE FOR THE TELECONFERENCE - I would appreciate it if you would provide me with a progress report.

If you complained to me in the past about postal service problems- have you experienced any improvements?  Do you have  any recommendations that I can make that Mr. Williams could consider?

Thank you for your help!
