SNOW UPDATE

All plow trucks are out on the roads.  Town Public Works crews will be working until road conditions are in good shape. Due to the past weeks frigid weather roads are coating quick.Please keep your cars off the road So crews are able to clear them.  Because it is so cold watch out for black ice after roads and sidewalks are cleared. 

 

 

 

 
The National Weather Service in has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for heavy snow effective until 1:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, with dangerous conditions being forecasted throughout the day on Thursday, January 4, 2018. 
 
A WINTER STORM WARNING means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous.
 
Here are some simple things that everyone can do to help:

  •         DO NOT drive when snow is falling.  Stay off the road and allow D.P.W. to clear the snow.
  •         DO NOT park on streets 
  •         DO NOT blow, shovel or plow snow into the street once the street has been plowed.
  •        Clear nearby fire hydrants of snow.
  •        Check on elderly or disabled neighbors.
