THIS TUESDAY--A VISION FOR REVITALIZING THE 4 CORNERS IN HARTSDALE ..FREE MOVIE TODAY AT LIBRARY
Release Date: April 07, 2018

The 4 corners in Hartsdale (intersection of E & W  Hartsdale Ave, Central Ave)  always has vacant stores.  On Tuesday the Town Board will hear from Chris Broda and Patrice Ingrassia, two architects who have a vision to revitalize the four corners. Our meeting begins at 10 AM at Town Hall.. Our meetings are televised on our website: www.greenburghny.com and also archived on the website.

At the Town Board’s upcoming April 10 work session, we will be presented with an important vision for revitalizing Hartsdale’s Four Corners.

Inspired Places, a real estate consulting firm founded by two long-time Hartsdale residents,  will share how they envision a transformation of the failing intersection into a revitalized, vibrant neighborhood-focused area. The presentation will focus on key factors that underpin the vision, as well as about obstacles and challenges to it.  A key obstacle is the 40-year old rigid zoning that now applies to the Corners.

Inspired Places will be representing owners who want to improve or develop their properties and have been operating under detrimental conditions for many years. They will propose a vision that is infused by practical ideas.  It is consistent with many elements of the 2016 Town of Greenburgh Comprehensive Plan, which designates 4 Corners as a “Study Area.”  They have studied the area; you can hear the research and analysis by attending the meeting or listening to it live or archived.

The work session is open to the public and takes place at Town Hall from 10am-noon.  It will also be available on cable TV (FIOS channel 35 and Cablevision channel 76) and to view live online (and on-demand on a delayed basis) on the Town of Greenburgh website  www.greenburghny.com

A meeting of the Hartsdale Neighborhood Association  was held to discuss the concept--there was significant support from the community to pursue the proposed rezone. The meeting on Tuesday is the next step in the process.

MOVIE TODAY ABOUT CHILDHOOD AUTO IMMUNE DISORDER

My name is Matthew Marzella, I live in Harstdale.  Myself and another parents from Ossining are hosting a movie screening on April 7th at the Greenburgh Library about a childhood auto-immune disorder (PANDAS/PANS) that is often going misdiagnosed.

Some studies suggest that as many as 1 in 200 children can be affected. We are reaching out to doctors, teachers and parents to attend this screening.  It is the first documentary on the disorder, and it highlights the struggle that this disorder entails. At the screening we will also have two mothers that are featured in the film host a Q and A.

Thank you for any help that you can provide.  We will begin sharing on the Facebook groups in town next weekend.
