Spoke with the Greenburgh Police Chief a few minutes ago. Was advised that the Greenburgh police are at the scene of an accident. A vehicle drove into a building at 344 S. Central Avenue (Scarsdale Woods condo complex). It appears an elderly driver experienced pedal confusion and stuck the building at approximately 30 mph. The driver and his elderly female passenger sustained minor injuries. PAUL FEINER
Our Technical Rescue Team is at the scene with police and fire personnel attempting to shore up the building before the vehicle can be removed and damage can be assessed. The building is evacuated and utilities are turned off. We will have a better idea of a timeframe for residents to return after the damage/structural integrity is assessed.
