Student led rally to repave Saw Mill River Rd and other state roads being cancelled
Release Date: July 26, 2018

An announcement was made on July 25th that Greenburgh student interns would be sponsoring a rally in front of Macy Park on August 2nd to encourage NYS to repave Saw Mill River Road in downtown Ardsley.

The Governor’s office has been kind enough to arrange a meeting with student interns and the regional representative to the NYS Department of Transportation to discuss this matter. As a result, in the spirit of cooperation, the student interns will be cancelling the rally. We hope that a positive constructive dialogue with NYS officials will achieve good results for residents. We appreciate the fact that state officials will be briefing student interns on the factors leading to repaving a road.  This will be a great educational experience for the student interns.  Many of the students who were organizing the rally met with me today and indicated that they agreed that since the state is reaching out - that scheduling a rally would be inappropriate at this time.
