Town submits grant to build sidewalk on Hillside Ave
Release Date: August 19, 2018

Last week the town of Greenburgh submitted a grant to NYS to build a sidewalk on Hillside Ave from Town Hall to North Road. The sidewalk, if built, will enable pedestrians and children to safely walk to the Bailey School, Route 119, town Hall, bus stops and the Theodore Young Community Center.  We want to make Greenburgh a more pedestrian safe community.  Funds requested from NYS $1,000,000 of a $1.2 million project.

We are currently out to bid for the new sidewalk from Fair to Juniper Hill- that sidewalk should begin in late October and continue into the winter. The new sidewalk construction  on Columbia in Hartsdale should also start later this year. And the sidewalk on Central Ave from Marion to W Hartsdale Ave will be built in 2011.

In recent years we have built new sidewalks on Seely Place, Ft hill Road, Edgemont, Sprain Road, parts of Secor Road, Benedict (Tarrytown), W Hartsdale (in front of Solomon Schecter), near the Greenburgh Health Center on Knollwood Road and more...

In the coming years we will continue to build more sidewalks around town.
