Hillside Road repaving delayed by NYS till spring... new residents/volunteer appreciation reception
Release Date: November 12, 2018

On Friday I  received a call from Acting Regional Director of the NYS Department of Transportation, Lance MacMillan. Earlier this summer NYS advised me that they were planning to repave all of Hillside Ave this past fall. There were some delays in the bidding process and the weather has taken a turn – and is much colder.  Hillside is a NYS road--not a town road.

Mr. MacMillan has advised me that they are recommending that the road be repaved in the spring of 2019.  If they started the work now -it wouldn't be completed for weeks. The quality of the work will be much better.   Sorry for the inconveniences.   The road repaving will definitely get done next year.

The town will be sponsoring a new residents and volunteer appreciation reception this Thursday evening at the Theodore Young Community Center (Manhattan Ave)  from 7- 9 PM.  Please RSVP to pfeiner@greenburghny.com if interested in joining us. New residents and volunteers will have an opportunity to interact with other public officials, learn about town programs and see, first hand, some of the great things that are happening at the Theodore Young Community Center. If you know people who don't live in Greenburgh but who are considering moving here- this reception might be a great introduction to the town.

At the bottom of the town website home page (www.greenburghny.com) there is a town activities guide for the fall/winter months. Take a look at some of the fantastic programs you and your family might want to take advantage of.
