RAVENSDALE BRIDGE DISCUSSION TO TAKE PLACE WEDNESDAY AT GREENBURGH TOWN HALL AT 1 PM -MEETING OPEN
Release Date: November 29, 2018

NYS DOT is planning to discuss plans for the new Ravensdale bridge construction this Wednesday, December 5 at 1 PM at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave. This is the first of a series of meetings with officials and members of the community. Our meeting is open to the public.  I have asked that the meeting be taped so those who can’t attend can listen to the discussion and options.

The bridge construction will have an impact on Hastings, Ardsley and unincorporated Greenburgh streets. The bridge is located off of Saw Mill River Road and Jackson Ave.  We will keep you informed.

PAUL FEINER

On behalf of NYSDOT, I’m forwarding this invitation to a stakeholder meeting that will be held on Wednesday December 5th at 1PM at the Town of Greenburgh Town Hall.  At this meeting, which I understand will be recorded and available for Town residents, NYSDOT representatives will make a presentation of the two construction alternatives for the Ravensdale Road bridge replacement being considered:

1.)    The full road closure and off-site detour that was previously presented.

2.)    An on-site detour option that allows Ravensdale traffic to be placed on a temporary bridge and remain open to provide for a lesser traffic impact (though over a longer duration of construction).

Additionally, a concept for a new trailway connection from Rt. 9A shall be presented.  There will be time for questions and comments following the presentation.  I hope you or your designee can attend this meeting and provide feedback regarding the latest alternatives.

NYSDOT will be following up this meeting with another public information meeting to be held at the Hastings-On-Hudson Community Center on a date yet to be determined.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Regards, Al
