SNOW ANGELS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS..REMINDER: SCHOOL TAXES DUE END OF JANUARY
Release Date: January 17, 2019

SNOW ANGELS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS  AS WE ANTICIPATE THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT SNOW STORM OF 2019 THIS WEEKEND

The first big snow storm this season is expected to happen this weekend. 2019 will mark the 28th year of the Greenburgh snow angels. I am grateful that two students (from Edgemont & Ardsley High Schools) have agreed to serve as snow angels coordinators for the 2019 season.  Jared Turell, a Junior at Edgemont High School and Miles Cooperman, a sophomore at Ardsley High.  The best way to contact them to volunteer or obtain help  is by e mailing:  greenburghsnowangels@gmail.   We depend on volunteers from around the town to help those in need.

Jared and Miles are role models in our community – interested in helping out those in the community who can’t help themselves because of age, financial reasons or disabilities.   Jared and Miles were involved in the snow angels program last year.

The snow angels try to match up volunteers with the elderly and disabled.  The angels clear driveways and paths for seniors who are physically unable to clear the snow themselves.  This year the Poet's Corner Civic Association membership voted to donate $500 for supplies to help the snow angel program.

REMEMBER TO PAY 2ND HALF OF YOUR SCHOOL TAX BILL BY END OF JANUARY

The town acts as a collector for school taxes. Although you write your check to the town, we have nothing to do with the school budgets or the school taxes you pay—besides collecting the $$$.  We also have to upfront the money to the school district whether you pay the bill or not.

You only get one bill. Please pay on time to avoid penalties and interest.
