TWO MEETINGS COMING UP THAT MIGHT BE OF INTEREST

LIVING WITH DEMENTIA---April 25 at Ardsley Library

Democracy: A community Conversation: April 17 7:15  Warner Library

The Chelsea of Greenburgh is holding a forum: Living with Dementia and its effects on family and friends. Symptons peak in the spring. A free event on Thursday, April 25 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. RSVP by April 23rd  275-0010.  Presented by Lynda O’Hanlon, MPA, CCM  A Healthy Aging Healthcare Professional.

 

The event takes place at the Ardsley Public Library, 9 American Legion Drive, Ardsley.

 

The Chelsea is under construction- will be an assisted living facility on Dobbs Ferry Road (former Frank’s Nursery).  I asked for an update. This is what I received from Michele Ranieri, director of Community Relations:

 

 ASSISTED LIVING OFFERS DISCOUNTS TO GREENBURGH RESIDENTS

“We are scheduled to open in the Fall 2019.  We are accepting reservations and the welcome center is open to visits.  We are offering a discount for Greenburgh residents as well as an income qualified discount for up to 10% of the apartments.  See Michele or Diane for details”.
