Greenburgh & Dobbs Ferry police officers who were shot last night have been released from hospital
Release Date: June 04, 2019

Last night at approximately 10:30pm, the Greenburgh Police SWAT Team assisted the FBI with the arrest of a felon fugitive at the Ardsley Acres Motel. The fugitive opened gunfire on officers, striking 2 SWAT Team members. Officers returned gunfire, striking the fugitive. The two officers struck, a Greenburgh Police Sergeant and a Dobbs Ferry Police Sergeant, were treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The fugitive was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

The officers have been released from the hospital and are recovering. The fugitive was from out of state and there is no threat to public safety related to this incident.  We all owe a debt of gratitude to our police who work so hard keeping us safe –and who risk their lives every day for us. Thank you!
