Library update
Release Date: February 23, 2007

The Town Council is committed to ensuring the library renovation and construction project is going forward. The Commissioner of Public Works, the project’s primary overseer, has continually updated us on the progress of the project, and has informed the Supervisor and the Town Council that work has been ongoing since the library at 300 Tarrytown Road was closed to the public and relocated to various satellite locations, including at Town Hall, where usage has been outstanding.

Regarding the construction, we have a construction manager; we have a construction attorney; we have a Town Attorney; we have a Town Engineer; and, we have a Commissioner of Public Works, all providing oversight of the project.  We know this project is important to you. We are steadfast in continuing to work with our professionals to see this project continue to move forward so library services may return to 300 Tarrytown Road as soon as possible.
