SIDEWALK POLICY DISCUSSION WEDNESDAY NIGHT...PROGRESS: ARDSLEY RD SNOW REMOVAL

The Greenburgh Town Board will hold a discussion of the proposed sidewalk policy at Wednesday night's Town Board meeting --beginning at 7:15 PM at Greenburgh Town Hall. Your input is welcome and appreciated.
Last night members of the Town Board attended a meeting hosted by the Edgemont Civic Association. A number of people called on the town to assume responsibility of clearing the snow off of Ardsley Road sidewalks - a position I strongly agree with. Members of the town Council indicated that the Town Board will address this safety problem before the next snow season starts. I believe that the town should issue a request for proposals from landscapers/contractors so we can get estimates about the costs. I also believe that the town should assume responsibility of clearing the snow off of all sidewalks leading to train stations, bus stops and schools.
