BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR FURNITURE DONATED FOR TEMPORARY LIBRARY OVERLOOKING POND!
Release Date: May 04, 2007

Greenburgh is a great town. Everytime I send out an e mail asking the community for help with a problem the community responds.  On Wednesday evening we will be honoring  some special people.
Anne Wright & Bob Lahaus are being named citizens of the month for providing a flood victim who resided at 180 E Hartsdale Ave with temporary shelter until the resident was able to move back home.  Residents of their building were homeless for over a week due to the flooding.
Yesterday, I sent out an e mail asking for donations of outdoor furniture for our temporary library. The  temporary Greenburgh Library is located in the back of Town Hall. There is an outdoor patio overlooking an attractive pond. James Guerra and Pamela Guerra Franklin responded to the request and offered to donate some beautiful outdoor patio equipment. They will also be honored as citizens of the month.
the Guerra/Franklin donation is very special. Library patrons and town employees will be able to read a book outdoors, relax and enjoy the view of  the pond. I'm very grateful to James and Pamela for their generosity.  We hope to have the outdoor furniture at the patio sometime next week.
The Town will be hosting a new residents reception on May 9th from 6 PM to 7:15 PM at Town Hall. Westchester Federal Credit Union is sponsoring the reception (hero sandwiches and snacks). Immediately after the reception we will hold our Town Board meeting.
