CITIZENS COMMITTEE TO PUSH FOR CLEAN UP OF STATE, COUNTY, TOWN RIGHT OF WAYS FORMED
Release Date: May 07, 2007

ZAMBARDI NAMED ASSISTANT (VOLUNTEER) SUPERVISOR TO ADDRESS TOWN CLEAN UP ISSUES
FIRST MEETING OF CITIZENS CLEAN UP COMMITTEE--MAY 22ND AT 8:15 PM

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner has named Marie Zambardi of Hartsdale as Assistant Supervisor to address town clean up issues. Zambardi contacted Feiner to complain about debris and garbage on state, county & town right of ways.
During the past few months many others have noticed garbage--bottles, wrappers, fast food packaging and just plain old trash all over the place. People drive and dump their trash out of their car windows.
Among the goals will be to push for regular cleanups of road ways. In addition, Ms Zambardi will oversee a citizens task force that will review existing town penalties and policies relating to enforcement. We hope to also create an adopt a road program --encouraging citizens to also clean up.
A planning meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd at 8:15 PM at the supervisor's conference room at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave. For more information contact Marie Zambardi at mez824@yahoo.com or Paul Feiner at pfeiner@greenburghny.com.
