HELP NEEDED: FLOODED BAGEL STORE NEEDS PRO BONO ARCHITECT...LIA'S TO RE-OPEN NEXT WEDNESDAY
Release Date: May 16, 2007

Bagel's & More is one of the stores on East Hartsdale Ave that experienced flooding. They have been out of business for about a month. I received a call from them today--they are looking for an architect to donate their services to the business so they can re-open. Many stores, like Bagel's & More, experienced tens of thousands of dollars in losses due to the flooding. If you are an architect and would be willing to help them stay in business, please call 914-261-5065 or phisyks@hotmail.com. You can also e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com.
In the past the Greenburgh community has responded to calls for action. We need to continue to work hard to help E Hartsdale Ave businesses continue to serve our community.
SOME GOOD NEWS--Lia's Restaurant, located on E Hartsdale Ave, is expected to re-open a week from today!
We had a very productive community meeting last night --and promise to work hard to come up with short term actions and long term plans to address the flooding problems on E Hartsdale Ave. A resolution will be on the agenda next Wednesday night when the Town Board meets authorizing the initiation of a professional study to determine the causes of the flood and to make recommendations.
