RESOLUTION TO BE PRESENTED WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUGGESTING 7 DAY A WEEK PROGRAMS AT COMMUNITY CENTER

The Theodore Young Community Center is located on Manhattan Ave. The center has an indoor pool. At Wednesday's Town Board meeting (Aug 15) I will propose a resolution to the Town Board directing the Commissioner to prepare a proposed budget to increase programs ( including the indoor pool)at the center from six days a week to seven days a week. There is a great need to offer additional programs to our youth - especially young people who come from lower income or single parent households. It's my hope that the Town Board will support the initiative and fund a 7 day a week Community Center operation.
