E HARTSDALE AVE FLOOD STUDY AUTHORIZED...7 DAYS A WEEK PROGRAMMING AT COMMUNITY CENTER PURSUED..
Release Date: August 30, 2007

The Greenburgh Town Board approved a resolution on Wednesday night authorizing a contract for the Hartsdale Brook Watershed and flood study in the amount of $60,880. It is my hope that this study will identify additional steps the town, business community, apartments, golf club and Hartsdale Parking district can take to reduce the potential for another major flood on E Hartsdale Ave.
The Town Board also approved a local law authorizing freedom of information requests to be filed by e mail. The Board approved a modified version of a resolution I had introduced two weeks ago requesting the Commissioner of the Department of Community Resources to work wtih the Community Center's Advisory Board to consider as part of its recommended budget submittal, a budget to expand its programs, including Sunday operating hours at the Theodore Young Community Center. I would like to see a 7 day a week center and indoor pool.
