WE'RE MOVING
Release Date: November 27, 2002

WE'RE MOVING---The Greenburgh Town Board voted unanimously to move Town Hall to l77 Hillside Ave. The town will acquire the building for $6.9 million dollars. In l992 the building cost $l2 million. The replacement value of the 48,000 square foot building if built today would be over 20 million dollars.

The Town Board also voted to authorize volunteer fire fighters, police and ambulance corp members who serve unincorporated Greenburgh but who reside in the villages to use the pool. Councilmembers Timmy Weinberg and Diane Juettner joined Supervisor Feiner in voting yes. Councilmembers Eddie Mae Barnes and Steve Bass abstained. We hope this new policy will help the town attract and keep volunteers.

The Town Board voted unanimously to work with Pace University on a new energy conservation initiative--will hire a part time energy conservation coordinator to encourage energy conservation and to develop additional legislation. Funding will come from additional building department fees.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL
