Town Board to repair pool with watertight pool liner.

A few years ago the town was considering the possibility of having to build a new pool to replace the aging pool at AF Veteran park. The cost: over 5 million dollars - perhaps six or seven.

Commissioner of Parks Gerry Byrne and his staff came up with a much less expensive alternative: repairing the pool shell and installing a complete watertight PVC pool liner. At the Town Board meeting on February 7th the Town Board awarded Ray Palmer Associates a contract for $110,850 to do the work. They were the lowest bidder.
