TOUR OF PARKING GARAGE REQUESTED AFTER 33% HIKE
Release Date: September 28, 2004

I continue to be disappointed with last weeks Town Board vote increasing

the Hartsdale parking permit fees by 33%. I think it is important for

the public to understand what needs to be done at the garage and to have

the ability to ask the Parking Authority's engineers questions. As a

follow up to last weeks vote I sent the following letter to the Parking

Authority (and received this response) requesting that a tour be

arranged for members of the Town Board and community. Questions could be

asked. Long term plans for parking could and should be addressed. The

rehabilitation of the garage should be a true partnership between the

town government, Parking district and community.

Paul,

I have forwarded your email to the Board of Commissioners. At this time

I cannot schedule anything on their behalf.
