Response from regional administrator US Postal Service: postal service complaints
Release Date: January 06, 2018

During the past two days I have received a number of e mails from residents who have complained about poor mail service---no deliveries, delayed deliveries and other postal related problems. I have forwarded each of the complaints to Richard Conte, regional administrator for the United States Postal Service. I received the following response earlier today.  Some people who were waiting for important deliveries have since advised me that they received the mail today.

Sorry for the inconveniences. The problems that Greenburgh and Westchester residents have been experiencing with the postal service is a national problem - a problem that I have been complaining about for at least 5 years.

Last year United States Senator Chuck Schumer, Congresswoman Nita Lowey and Congressman Eliot Engel highlighted their concerns about postal service operations and promised to give this their attention. I hope that our national leaders will focus more attention on helping the Postal Service improve their service.  And hope that 2018 will be a year of results, not complaints.
