a new Kiwanis Club in Greenburgh...dog swim today

A new Kiwanis Club is being formed in Greenburgh serving the Fairview/Greenburgh area. They are holding their charter night on September 24 at 7 PM at Rini's Restaurant & Wine Bar at 12 West Main Street, Elmsford. They would like to introduce their club to the community that evening. Tickets are $40 per person or $50 at the door for buffet style dinner. The Kiwanis Clubs do great things for communities. Let's welcome them!  Checks could be mailed to Kiwanis Club,  Laura Prange  c/o Beal Bank, 36 Mamaroneck Ave, White PLains.

DOG SWIM TODAY AT Anthony Veteran park from 10 to 2 PM.

Hastings Flea at the Hastings Metro North parking lot from 10 to 4  Visit with new and loved vendors selling everything from vintage home goods, antiques, clothing, jewely, soaps, toys, records and other treats and finds. Items sold are all unique and most are home made and collected.  Plus animals from Weinberg Nature Center, face painting, canvas painting for kids, live music. 

 

BIcycle Sunday today from 10-2  ---enjoy the Bronx River Parkway on your bicycle. Additional dates: September 15, 22 and 29  Great for bicyclists, on line skaters, scooters, walkers and joggers from exit 22 at the Westchester County Center to exit 4 at Scarsdale  Road

 

Need a car wash? The Chelsea (our newest assisted living facility) is planning a car wash on September 14th from 10 to 1 PM   $5   Proceeds benefit Walk to End Alzheimer's. The event takes place at 715 Dobbs Ferry Road.

 

The Ardsley Multicultural and diversity Committee is sponsoring a Kite Flying (Festival of Basant) in Ardsley on September 15th at Louis Pascone Memorial Park from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Kites and light refreshments will be provided. And, it's free.  This is a collaborative effort between Pakisatani and American families
